Goals for today!
Today I will workout my Quadriceps, Hamstrings and Calves for endurance training at the local gym. I plan on suffering to no end. I will later go for a 1.5 mile swim doing intervals one lap fast/one lap slow and repeat thereafter.
I am still recovering form my saddle sores so I need to be innovative in my training if I am off my bike. My training is all focused towards Ore-2-Shore. Last year I did ok for my first time out with a respectable time of 3:36:01. However I want to shatter that by 37 minutes and make the top 200 riders.
Yesterday I went for a 5 mile run and got my heart rate to an average of 155. The quads felt tight and strong so I feel that I have a solid base I just need to turn up the heat and take my training to a higher level.
